Over the weekend, I ran into natural hair blog, blackgirllonghair,which featured a short film by New York Times writer Zina Saro-Wiwa describing and narrating the empowerment of this journey into natural hair care. It started off with her taking her first step into the transitioning process, which includes removing all hair, taking her from micro braid to completely bald. We see this vibrant writer explore the natural hair care world from products to textures and styles that gives a understanding to others of why we do this.
